It’s that time of year again! I’m off to Las Vegas to mingle with porn stars, stalk down directors I admire, do a bunch of shoots, and walk that comfy red carpet to celebrate my nominations and show solidarity for my friends!
I’ve been nominated for 2 AVN Awards this year, including a nomination for the first ever BBW Performer of the Year award! I am so honored to be included in this brand new category alongside a few of my favorite people like April Flores and Betty Blac, and some esteemed contemporaries who have made waves in plus size porn like Karla Lane and Kelly Shibari!
What’s interesting about me as a nominee is that I’m the only performer on the list who performs in exclusively lesbian, girl/girl, or queer porn. I’m the only all-indie actor on the list, and I may have actually performed in 2013 more than any other nominee – I just counted at least 20 scenes last year! That’s a LOT for an indie chubby bunny! (but im still voting for April Flores to win…)
My favorite part of the entire weekend is walking down the red carpet. The first two years I went, I had Jiz Lee and Dylan Ryan by my side. Then, in 2011 there was the amazing queer porn mafia (when QueerPorn.TV got a nomination for Best Alt Site) and there were what, eight of us as a posse on the carpet, including the 2nd and 3rd ever trans men (James Darling and Charlie Spats) to walk it. This year my date will be my lovely bestie and fellow nominee April Flores. I can’t wait to see what she’s wearing!
For the first time ever, I have been invited to speak on an AEE panel. The topic is porn and academia, and I hope to be a part of an invigorating discussion about porn and college. We all know how much I love going to college!!! Also, being on a panel with jessica drake and Constance Penley will be quite the honor. And Lynn Comella is always an amazing moderator!
Porn Goes to College (AEE)

Recent years have seen a surge in the number of porn performers and producers invited to college campuses to talk about the adult entertainment industry. Sometimes the invitations have been controversial—a few have had to be rescinded—but they always extended the conversation about sex and porn. A panel of industry vets and academics will bring that conversation to AEE.
